We are a well established accountancy firm based in Lake on the Isle of Wight.
We offer accountancy, taxation, payroll, CIS, VAT, Capital Gain Tax advice, CGT Returns, bookkeeping and company secretarial services as well as cash flow forecasts and management accounts.
Allegri and Co. was established on the Isle of Wight in 1986 by Brian and Sara Allegri, having worked both in the profession and in commerce for 10 years in Brighton.
Selina Powder joined the team in 2001 where she trained and completed her Association of Accounting Technician exams in 2010. In 2012, Selina formed Carter Accountancy which later merged with Allegri & Co in 2015. Selina is licensed and regulated by the Association of Accounting Technicians under licence number 8572.
Selina is in the office every day, as the sole working Director, and is committed to ensuring that Allegri & Co continue to offer the Island a good, fairly priced accountancy and taxation service. The Isle of Wight is a beautiful place to live and work, Selina puts contributing to the community in a positive way at the forefront of all our practice decisions, to support this.
We have a team of 9 staff including 2 Directors.

Lorna is our Office Manager and works very closely with Selina. She started in 2014 and passed her final AAT Level 4 NVQ exam in July 2018. Lorna has since become a Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians and continues to work with us as an Accountant overseeing Payroll, CIS and VAT.
Louise manages our VAT Department whilst overseeing CIS. She has worked in the industry for decades, beginning at her father’s business.
Janice joined the team in May 2019 and is a qualified Accountant who brings a vast knowledge of Accounts and Taxation, along with her approachable and friendly manner.
Marsha is an Accounts Clerk who has been with us for many years and has experience working in both the Canadian and English tax systems.
Annabel is our trainee accounts clerk who joined in May 2022 from a self-employed background, and now runs the Payroll bureau. She is always happy to welcome clients at reception.
Daisy started her accounting apprenticeship with us in June 2026 shortly after completing her NVQ Level 3 at the Isle of Wight College. We are passionate about employing and offering opportunities to young people from the Island. Daisy has joined the front office team, has already proved to be an asset to the team and is always on hand to welcome clients..
At least three staff members are fully trained in each service area so that we can offer a seamless continuation of service to our clients.
